Switching to EBH web hosting can be a very smooth process. Following these simple steps will ensure that your move is a painless one.
- The first step is to choose the hosting package to suit your needs. After you make the decision simply sign up. (order here) Do not cancel your old hosting account just yet.
- Once your new eBoundHost.com account is established, you may upload your web site content. If you do not have a local copy, this is a good time to make a complete backup. This can be done by connecting through FTP and downloading all your files from your old host. Then connect to your new account and upload the content. (We strongly recommend keeping a copy of your site on your local machine) If you need any assistance, please, do not hesitate to contact us.
- The next step is to create the mailboxes within the control panel and databases (if you have any). Once, again, should you need any assistance, our support staff is at your disposal.
- Lastly, change your name servers (DNS) with the domain name registrar. This information is available in your welcome letter when you establish a new account with us.
If you have any questions we are always happy to help, or even make the changes for you. Normally it takes up to 12 hours for the DNS to propagate.
Once you complete these four steps and completely migrated to eBoundHost, contact your old web hosting service to inform them of the cancellation. |
