Set Global Options

On the next page look at the section labeled "Personal settings" where you set global preferences for your spam filtering. These are the basic settings which control the spam filter behavior.

Use server wide settings - Aside from personal preference use the server wide filter.
Hits required for spam - Smaller is more aggressive. Leave at 5 for now to avoid false positives.
What to do with spam mail - Leave this as "Mark as spam" for now, so you can watch for errors.
Modify spam mail subject - Modify this to something you will recognize when receiving mail. You can also set a filter in your Outlook/Thunderbird/Eudora/Entourage to move messages marked with this header to a special folder.

Once these are filled out, click on the SET button to finalize the settings.
